Logistics Management, SMC³ Team Up for The Alliance Awards

Logistics Management and SMC³ are proud to announce a new partnership to produce the fourth annual Alliance Awards, an annual celebration of supply chain collaboration and innovation at the highest level.

A formal announcement of the partnership occurred during SMC³’s annual supply chain conference, Connections 2015. Submissions are being accepted through October 1. Case study criteria, as well as submission guidelines, are available at www.logisticsmgmt.com/alliance.

The Alliance recognizes how shippers and their service providers work together to overcome challenges to critical components of their unique supply chains. Winners are singled out for their ability to effectively solve challenges through innovative, measurable means. The equal partnership between SMC³ and Logistics Management will ensure robust industry support of the awards, which are presented during SMC³’s annual Jump Start conference every January in Atlanta. Winning case studies will be recognized and awarded during The Alliance Award Ceremony in Atlanta, GA during SMC³’s Jump Start 2016 conference and featured in the January 2016 issue of Logistics Management.

“Logistics Management’s audience aligns perfectly with supply chain collaboration – the essence of The Alliance Award,” stated SMC³ CEO Jack Middleton. “The award is so much more than a mere indicator of excellence. It truly focuses on the result attained through innovation and collaboration.”

Qualified entries must comprise a collaborative effort of three or more partners, with at least one of those members being a shipper. A panel of supply chain experts will judge entrants on how their collaboration has worked to produce meaningful outcomes, achieve results and enhance the supply chain, among other metrics.

Past award winners include the collaborators GNC, DHL Global Mail and Spend Management Experts; Dick’s Sporting Goods and Estes Express Lines; and Macy’s, Hub Group and Comtrak.

SMC³ and Logistics Management have a rich history of collaboration developing and delivering educational events to the industry. “We’re excited to expand our partnership with SMC³ to collaborate on the Alliance Awards,” stated Brian Ceraolo, president and group publisher of Logistics Management’s parent company, Peerless Media. “These awards provide exceptional examples of how innovation and collaboration can optimize a company’s supply chain.”
