The SMC3 Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading and executing marketing tactics across the department and organization to effectively market the SMC3 brand, technology products and educational and industry events.
The optimal candidate will be customer-focused and data-driven with a broad range of marketing capabilities and sales lifecycle and social media marketing experience. Working collaboratively within the organization, they will have skills to develop and execute creative marketing content and campaigns, analyze and understand metrics and make recommendations to continuously improve results.
Essential Functions
Create and execute innovative marketing content and campaigns in collaboration with other team members. This includes but is not limited to: videos, brochures, sales tools, conference and trade show collateral, social media graphics, etc.
Develop and report digital marketing metrics and analytics to drive decision-making for continuous results (Google Analytics, SEO, SEM, e-mail, etc.)
Maintain ownership over e-mail marketing process improvements including targeting, messaging, execution, and communication of analytics and continuous improvement recommendations
Develop, implement and track marketing automation processes and strategies, and lead nurturing process, and CRM distribution lists; develop long-term campaigns as part of the customer journey
Create and maintain team media, editorial, and content calendars across print and digital initiatives
Conduct market research and competitive analysis trends to identify new marketing opportunities
Maintain SMC3 membership materials and collaborate on partner marketing initiatives
Ensure all SMC3 market facing content meets approved brand standards, trademarks, messaging and positioning statements
Contributes to a total team effort both within department and across departments by accomplishing project assignments and tasks as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor degree required
3+ years marketing experience required
Experience in B2B marketing is preferred
Experience working with marketing analytics, automation and content planning tools
Highly creative and resourceful self-starter
Proactive with an ability to bring fresh ideas
Strong interpersonal/communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task on tight deadlines
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Preferred but not Required
