SMC³ Releases Speaker Lineup for Jump Start 2017
ATLANTA – CSX Transportation President Clarence Gooden; Monica Wooden, CEO and co-founder of MercuryGate; and David Congdon, CEO of Old Dominion Freight Lines, are among the many supply chain experts that will speak at SMC³’s Jump Start 2017 conference, held January 23-25 at the Loews Hotel in midtown Atlanta.
Jump Start, the premiere supply chain event of the season, runs in conjunction with the one-day Logistics Technology Summit, an annual conference geared toward transportation technology professionals. For more information and to register, visit www.smc3jumpstart.com.
The conference, which will include more than 20 targeted sessions featuring more than 40 industry experts, exists to provide shippers, 3PLs, carriers and logistics technology providers with up-to-date information on relevant trends in the supply chain arena. Attendees will also benefit from more than 15 hours of networking opportunities; when combined with the length of the sessions, conference participants benefit from more than 30 hours of content.
Additional speakers include Rob Estes, president and CEO of Estes Express; Greg Carter, CTO of GlobalTranz; John Murphy, Oracle’s vice president of marketing; and Ken Pehanick, president and CEO of SaaS Transportation. Dayton Moore, senior vice president of operations and general manager of the Kansas City Royals, will give a keynote address to open the conference. Panelists will discuss the changing face of intermodal, the impact 3D printing is having on the supply chain, and advancements in API technology.
“We’ve put together a program that balances multiple networking opportunities with informative, enlightening panels that will give attendees a better grasp of the supply chain challenges today and provide a window into the future,” said SMC³ President and CEO Andrew Slusher.
SMC³ will also present the winners of its fifth annual Alliance Awards, an annual celebration of supply chain collaboration and innovation at the highest level. Winners will then participate in a roundtable discussion. Past award winners include the collaborators GNC, DHL Global Mail and Spend Management Experts; Dick’s Sporting Goods and Estes Express Lines; and Macy’s, Hub Group and Comtrak.
